Abstract: A semi-analytical model for sheet-funnel specimens and sheet-ring specimens is proposed. The finite element analysis shows that the model is able to describe the monotonous mechanical behaviours of the two kinds of specimens. To gain the load-displacement curves of tensile tests and stable stage of cyclic tests, an uniaxial tensile test and a variable amplitude symmetric-cycle test of sheet-funnel specimens and sheet-ring specimens are carried out. Based on the model and the experimental curves, the uniaxial stress-strain relations and cyclic stress-strain relations of the specimens are predicted. The results show that the stress-strain relations and cyclic stress-strain relations predicted by sheet-funnel specimens and sheet-ring specimens are basically in agreement with those of smooth round bars.
