Abstract:

The tie-down of shipboard-helicopters is a key problem which concerns the link between the shipboard-system and the helicopter-system.It is different from the tie-down of ground and it is based on moving. Under the severe weather condition the airframe must support big load factor along all directions. So it is very important whether the airframe and tie-down equipment have high carrying ability. The features of tie-down are moving base, carrying ability in one direction of tie-down equipment and nonlinear relation of load-displacement of landing gears. In this paper, these special problems are handled reasonably and effectually; "Matrix method of force" and "Matrix method of displacement" are used, respectively, in calculating loads of tie-down equipment and stress of the airframe of the helicopter. The result is satisfactory compared with the test result.
