Abstract: This is an approximate solution for a plate with surface crack reinforced by an adhesive patch. The cracked plate wes treated according to Rice's Line-spring-model, so that the 3-D problem was simplified to the Kirchhoff plate problem.The Integral equations were solved numerically. Stress intensity factor along the crack front and shear stresses distribution in the adhesive layer were obtained for varieties of parameters.
