Abstract: Both theoretical and experimental analyses on the natural frequencies and modes of the disk-shaped bevel gear are presented by using thick conical shell theory considering transverse shear d-eformation and rotational inertia, and using experimental modal analysis respectively. The calculation and experiment of the natural frequencies and modes of two kinds of central transmission bevel-gears of jet engine are made and the results are very satisfactory.
