Abstract: A general survey of A.meriean space shuttle is given in this paper.An important fea-ture of the second generation shuttle is horizontal taking-off and landing,Theretore new control techniques must he taken except from overcoming the key difficulty-new power devices.By using the new control techniques in the second generation shuttle, the deadweight of the shuttle can he effectively reduced.
