Abstract: A new numerical method, the velocity potential difference method, is developed in this work for predicting the aerodynamic force of fully unsteady wings in subsonic flow. The method is capable of computing the varying aerodynamic force or velocity field in time domain over wings with arbitrary motion. The computed results of some test cases are compared with those of other computational methods and experiments, and are found to be in good agreement.
