Abstract: It has been found from quite a number of experimental results that the distribution of the fuel concentration （the total concentration i, e. the resultant concentration of both vapour and liquid phases） is normal distribution. According to this idea, the formula for calculation of the fuel concentration is obtained. This formula is useful for engineering purpose with desirable accuracy. Thus , the calculation of such fuel concentration field may be carried out in a simpler way.
