Abstract: A new method based on Microcomputer Aided Design Program package for capturing node coordinates in finite element mesh is described. It provides a way to avoid errors in manually measurig node coordinates and mistakes in hand transfefing data with terminals. The main idea of this method is that a Microcomputer captures the drawing element information containing nodes of a finite element model and then transfers it to data of stress analysis. This method has been practically confirmed to be especially efficient, accurate, convenient in stress analysis for a large scale aircraft structure.
