Abstract: o restrain the temperature-rise of frictional surface by means of ion implantation is a new approach to reducing adhesive wear and increasing wear resistance of friction pairs. In this test, ion implantation has been used as a convenient way tO restrain the surface temperature-rise of orificing pair′s specimens of aeronautical piston pump and some significant results have been obtained. The surface temperature of implanted specimens reduced by about 35℃in average un-der the stepwise varying load.It reduced by about 46℃ in average for the experiment with the flow rate of lubricating-oil decreasing stepwise,In this paper, the mechanism of restraining the frictional temperature-rise by ion implantation is also discussed.
