Abstract:

A technique for constructing a fight by flight load spectrum is developed. It is an inverse process for rain flow counting. This technique includes modified rain flow counting and random inserting method of complete cycles. In addition to character of rain flow counting, it insures keeping sequence information of peak to valley or valley to peak of each cycle. This technique is applied to counting of load, constructing load spectrum and calculating damage. These are advantageous to improvement of precision of fatigue life and to standardize the counting and constructing spectrum.
