Abstract: Powder Processes of crosslinking polyphenylene sulhide (PPS) matrix composites reinforced with carbon fiber fabric (CFF) are studied. With different processing conditions (moulding temperature, moulding pressure, preheating time, consolidation pressure and time ) the compostie panels are fabricated, flexural mechanical properties (flexural strength, flexural modulus and interlaminar shear strength), dynamic mechanical characterization are measured . and the microscopic observatoins of the fiber / resin penetration and fiber / matrix interface adhesion arc done. A combination of preheating and consolidation time, pressure, and moulding temperature found for appropriate mechanical properties and heat-stable properties.
