GEOMETRICALLY NON LINEAR GENERALIZED HYBRID DEGENERATED SHELL ELEMENT BASED UPON NON CONFORMING MODES

Abstract:

According to a generalized variational principle, which relaxes the inter element continuity requirements, a generalized hybrid degenerated shell element was first formulated by introducing incompatible modes. Numerical examples demonstrate that the four node degenerated shell element proposed in this article has excellent performance and can avoid all kinds of locking problems.
