Abstract: This paper discusses dynamic response of rectangular plates with free edges on viscoelastic foundation under moving loads and gives an approximate solution. The solution is used to solve the problem of dynamic response of airport pavement and an illustrative example is presented. The numerical results show good agreement with experiments. Finally, the curves and tables affected by different physical constants are given.
