Abstract: An investigation is given of two dimensional separated flow in and around a submerged curved inlet. The elliptic Navier Stokes equations, discretized by the finite control volume method are used in a body fitted curvilinear coordinate system. The results show that the flow in the duct is distorted and flow separation occurs behind the entry. Studies indicate that the computational results are in agreement with the experimental data, which will provide the basis for further simulation for three dimensional separated flows.
