SURFACE MODELING TECHNIQUE TO 3D SCATTERED NC MEASURE POINTS AND ITS APPLICATION IN DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT DIE AND MOULD OF AIRPLANE

Abstract: Some methods and theories are systematically studied about surface NC measure by coordinate measure machine(CMM).Based on measure scheme design,triangulation for 3D scattered measure points and triangular Bezier surface modeling, a new method on how to rebuild the surface model in relation to a practical surface sample product is presented. Now these methods have been applied in a special CAD/CAM system 3MS(Measure,Modeling and Machining System),which can efficiently deal with the NC measure,geometric modeling and machining of complex surface die and mould in aeronautical,astronautical and automobile industry.
