THE STUDY OF FATIGUE BEHAVIOR FOR IMPACTED ARALL

Abstract: Impact damage mechanism and damage propagation of ARALL laminates(unprestressed and prestressed)are observed and analyzed;the dynamic stiffness of ARALL laminates after impact is tested during fatigue;cumulatived amage models for unprestressed and prestressed ARALL laminates are developed,the effects of prestress on impact damage and fatigue property of impacted ARALL are discussed.The results show that impact damage is characterized by crack in aluminium and fracture of Kevlar fabric,the improvement of prestress on impact damage is much too little,but the effect of prestress on fatigue property of laminates after impact is obvious,and the cumulative damage model of laminate without prestress is differ-ent from that with prestress.
