Abstract:

Corresponding to the characters of coupling among comprising modules of aircraft scheme analysis model and iteratively solving of scheme analysis, the global sensitivity equation(GSE) method is adopted to compute sensitivity derivatives with respect to design variables, which can avoid the high cost and inaccuracy of finite differencing performed on the entire scheme analysis. The GSE method is inherently recursive and parallel, making its combining with numeric optimization methods specially suit for the optimization of complex, internally coupled systems like aircraft. A simple example of a hypothesized jet trainer scheme optimization and a practical example of a 4 seat commuter scheme optimization using the combination of the GSE method and the constrained variable metric method are given.
