Abstract

This paper expounds the research applications of big data in academia and aviation industry, such as its acquisition, transmission, analysis technology and its visualization. And on the basis of these, a theoretical framework for the analysis of aviation big data is proposed. Then in consideration of the actual needs such as optimizing operations, optimizing maintenance, reducing costs, and reducing risks, several aviation big data analysis platforms currently launched are narrated and commented. Finally, the paper points out that the application of big data in aviation systems still faces challenges in concepts, methods, technologies and people, proposing the development trends of big data organization specialization, processing method hybridization, analysis platform flexibility and cross-border cooperation deepening.
