Flight test technology of natural icing

Abstract:

Aiming at the needs of natural icing flight tests, the technical difficulties and research path of natural icing flight tests in China are systematically studied based on the research results home and abroad, starting from the development process of icing flight test technology and combining the natural icing airworthiness flight test of domestic aircraft. The research is carried out around the difficulties of icing weather prediction, comprehensive design of flight test sessions, safety assessment and effectiveness analysis of measured data in natural icing flight tests, and the technical research path is provided. The research on the construction of the flight test technology system was conducted, including the overall framework of natural icing flight tests, comprehensive flight test strategies, test support technology, implementation decision procedure, and data compliance evaluation. Finally, the systematic development of domestic aircraft icing research, the change of research mode and the construction of independent airworthiness systems based on flight tests are presented. This paper proposes to promote the overall progress of domestic anti-icing technology by performing fundamental research on flight tests of natural icing so as to form an independent and controllable design and development capability and airworthiness standard formulation capability.
