Abstract: In order to verify the accuracy of fuel density measurement in high temperature fuel and low temperature fuel for airborne densitometer that is used in aircraft fuel system, the Archimedes' principle is applied to study the high and low temperature static test technology in this article. A new high-precision method and static test equipment of the high and low temperature test is designed for the airborne densitometer. The results show that the maximum measurement error of the designed density measurement system is -0.077%, satisfying the stipulation that the measurement accuracy of test equipment should be four times or more than the unit under test (the measurement accuracy of the unit under test is higher than 0.4%). Besides, the test results are reviewed and approved by COMAC and US Parker Company that the equipment can reliably verify the fuel density measurement accuracy of airborne densitometer in high temperature fuel and low temperature fuel. This reliable verification provides experimental data of airborne densitometer for engineering application and flight testing.
