Abstract: One of the significant contents of the structural maintenance program is to determine the maintenance interval of the aircraft structure. However, the influence of the utilization ratio on the constraint condition of maintenance intervals are not comprehensively analyzed in the present guidelines on determining the intervals. A mathematical model for determining the maintenance intervals of the metallic structure with environmental damage of certain domestic civil aircraft with the low utilization is studied in this paper, based on the K-means algorithm and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)-entropy method. The influence of the utilization ratio on the constraint condition for determining the maintenance intervals are fully considered in this mathematical model, and validity of the model are demonstrated by examples. The analysis results indicate that the model proposed is very effective and well matches the engineering practice, and can well solve the problem of lack of usage parameters and service data, significantly reducing the influence of subjective determination by human beings.
