Abstract:

Full scale aircraft drop test provides an important tool for testing the dynamic load and dynamic response of the aircraft structure and studying the function reliability under impact situation in a laboratory environment. An approach for full scale aircraft drop test is proposed in this paper. Solutions to critical technique issues arising in the testing process such as wing lift simulation, aircraft sinking speed control, aircraft horizontal velocity simulation and aircraft dynamic load testing are also derived. The feasibility and effectiveness of the test method is verified by the full scale aircraft drop test system. The test method proposed can be used for testing the dynamic load and response of carrier-based aircraft landing vibration, providing reliable test data for the design of carrier-based aircraft.
