Research on ADS-B Message Items Statistics and Required Surveillance Performance

摘要: 广播式自动相关监视技术的广泛应用,使基于报文的位置导航不确定性参数的监视质量受到重点关注。针对位置导航不确定性参数好、监视质量却不高的问题,深入研究了广播式自动相关监视报文数据项及其与基于性能的通信与监视的相关性。在充分考虑通信导航监视的相关性及卫星导航广域增强等因素基础上,推导、构建了监视所需性能估计模型,并给予合理简化。在测试空域利用两个不同生产商且具有运行资质的ADS-B接收站,连续采集三个月共获得近2亿条ADS-B报文,详细分析了该报文中各信息项的统计分布状态,并将分布状态结果应用到所需性能估计模型评估计算这两个ADS-B站的所需监视性能。计算结果显示,当综合考虑报文各信息项统计状态及具备广域增强性能支撑时,ADS-B所需监视性能值仅为80%左右。若缺乏广域增强功能支撑,与国际民航组织监视系统的所需性能规范要求差别则更大。

Abstract: With the application of ADS-B technology, the surveillance quality of NUCp based on its messages have attracted much attention. According to the problem of good NUCp parameters but poor surveillance quality, then the correlation between the ADS-B data items and the performance-based communication and monitoring were deeply analyzed. On the basis of fully considering the correlation between the communication, navigation and surveillance, as well as the wide area augmentation of GNSS satellite navigation, the performance estimation model of ADS-B surveillance system was deduced and constructed. And then the reasonable simplification had been carried out. In the experimental test airspace, two ADS-B receivers with operational qualification from different manufacturers were in-stalled and operated. Almost 200 million ADS-B messages were collected for the three months. The statistical distribu-tion of each information item in the message were analyzed and calculated in detail. These results were applied to the estimation model to evaluate and calculate the required surveillance performance of the two ADS-B stations. The re-sults were shown that: When considering the statistical distribution of each message item and supporting by wide area augmentation, the surveillance performance of ADS-B systems were only about 80%. In the absence of wide area augmentation, the ADS-B surveillance performance specifications required by ICAO were much different.
